Wednesday is Kid’s Day

So it is a little early to be thinking about Valentines day, but I couldn’t resist.

Earlier this week the kiddos & I were in Barnes and Noble, browsing and the mini me found this:

It is a super cute, sweet & simple story. As you can see from the cover there are reflective bits in the book. Mini me loved touching and identifying the hearts (Valentines).  Aside from the reflective hearts, the illustrations that accompany the story are endearing and child-like. They are perfect for this type of book. This book is a perfect gift for Valentine’s day.

On a side note, even though it is early for Valentine’s day excitement, check out the link below for an awesome candy alternative Valentine. This is what my Soninator will be taking for his school Valentine’s Party.

So Many Books, So Little Time

The ringing in of a new year brings reflections & resolutions. Like everybody else I have a long list of resolutions, from weight loss to better personal management. I have long been a bibliophile, but between a full time job and family life, reading time has taken a backseat for a while. This year one of my top resolutions is to read all of my unread books before buying any new books. The only exception is buying books needed for work.

My rate of buying books has far out paced my ability to read said books. Like the title already stated, there are so many books and so little time to read them.

In interest of full disclosure I did buy three last minute books yesterday (December 31,2015): The Power of Habit by Charles Duhigg, The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People by Stephen R. Covey, and The Golden Compass by Philip Pullman. These three books are the first stack of two be read of 2016.

I will be posting every Wednesday(Children’s Books) & Friday( Books, reviews & progress). Join my bookworm adventures & share your own. 2016 is going to be great!

Happy New Year!!
